Where does the name Atbash comes from?

It is the first encryption algorithm that dates between 1000 and 500 Before Christ. It is a simple monoalphabetic substitution cipher, replacing characters, originally used in the Hebrew alphabet. The variant using the latin alphabet looks like this.

Just as Atbash was a simple substitution cipher, I believe Web Application security and development in general should also be simple today. With the right set of tools, knowledge and a mindset like Albert Einstein “Make things as simple as possible, but no simpler“, great things can be achieved with Java Enterprise. The Atbash website with blogs and open source frameworks should you help to achieve that.
